Biography
Champ is a drawing artist, illustrator and graphic designer. Her language is drawing and color. Born in Ardèche in 1986, she moved to Montpellier where she obtained the DNAP followed by the DNSEP at the Beaux-arts de Montpellier in 2011.
In her work, she expresses a feminist and political look on the representation of bodies, choosing to show identities, nuances and singularities.
Her work around the live model serves as a basis for political reflection and plastic experimentation. Her desire for representation is expressed through the nuances of the bright colors she uses, which are so many metaphors to expand the definition of identity.
Her illustrations, more personal, slightly narrative, want to use humor, metaphor, and everyday life to create an atmosphere.
Her references are found in world mythologies, European comics and pop culture. She is also influenced by the scriptwriter and cartoonist Benoit Sokal, the illustrator Laura Callaghan, and the journalists and authors Victoire Tuaillon and Rokhaya Diallo.
She decided to exhibit her personal work when she left the confinement in 2021.
