Uta Riek

Uta Riek is a German artist, born 1970 in Hameln.

She lives and works with his partner, who is also an artist in Hessen, Germany.

All works are abstract paintings, they are very strong in there expression.

I think it is because she don't have any model.

The work is authentic, may be because Uta Riek is a autodidact.

After fashion school she decided to work free in her studio andstarted to paint.

 Her work is a spontaneous, emotional expression of her being.

She don't likes any rules.

In her Studio, she works most the time with music, if there is no music she sings.

And she begin to move her body.

The body is always the start.

The paintings are made in a dance.

She told me that she get connected while she is dancing and the painting is a continuation of the dance.

So the body and the painting becomes one.

She loves it, if everyone sees and feels her paintings like they do, there is no limit or idea.
