Born in 1980 in Sumatra, Indra Dodi the young artist did his artistic training at Beaux Arts in Yogyakarta, Indonesia, followed by the Leather Academy and Sarjana Wiata Institut.
Indra Dodi works like a scribe with his works, where the background is covered with sentences or words, often incomprehensible. Through a naive and childish style, he paints quickly and creates huge paintings. His works are more abstract rather than realistic, displaying great spontaneity.
His goal is to make the spectator to look at the world in a positive and warm manner. He speaks about reality, which is different from what already exists, and is seen through his own perspective. Indra Dodi is inspired by his daily life and environment, leading him to create touching paintings.
