Biography
Ruta Jusionyte is a Lithuanian artist who lives and works in Paris. She won critical acclaim for her highly expressive works. Her terracotta sculptures question the relationship between humans and animals, through the reinterpretation of European fairy tales and legends.
Animals can be protective or scary, like in "Beauty and the Beast", or symbols of desire, like in "In the boat with the rabbit". Ruta Jusionyte dares to reconcile the universal man and his animality.
