Midani M'Barki

Minani, born in Tunisia in 1947, lives and works in Montmartre since 1969. It is here that his work truly began to flourish. At first glance, it appears abstract. One can view it from any angle. Each viewer discovers something different and unique to themselves in his art. Yet the longer you look, the more engaged you become. Bright organic curves leap out above the underlying passion of each stroke. There is an energetic passion of colour, subject and stroke in his work. 

Midani plays with a large variety of techniques, among others with bold acrylics, ink or water colours on canvas and paper. His colour choices intertwine with his surreal subjects creating an overall abstract to some and surreal objects to others. 

The artist is constantly invited to exposition around the world. In addition to his travelling, he is the president, funder and editor of the magazine " Paris Montmartre" and the cultural and artist association with the same name.
