Philippe de Croix could have very well been a gentleman farmer, but his passion for art led him to choose a different path in life; he started to paint when he was very young, at first figurative paintings, but very quickly he discovered his interest in abstraction. He has a very personal color palette and he combines in an original way diverse techniques, from painting to photography.
In his paintings, Philippe de Croix displays a very exciting treatment of depth, not through lines and vanishing points, but through the tactile layering of the pictorial planes.
