MayaK

Born in 1980, in la Fouillouse, to a family of artists, MayaK starts to walk on the paths of creation at a very young age. The initial liberal "I" gave way to an "I" that grew under the pressures of the environment and life experiences. In the last years, it is this "I" that MayaK attemps to harmonize through artistic creation and the practice of mindfulness meditation.

For him, drawing, painting, sculpture, writing or photography are meditation tools which allow him to connect to his inner self and to the world.

For MayaK, art is not just something made to ocupy space or to fill a void but rather, a way to host the amplitude offered by the inseparable empty and full spaces which dominate our world. It is an essential point that surprises us, caresses our body and soul, and invites us into the living world of our inner resonance.

Artistic expression is much more than its aesthetic dimension, it connects us with our vibratory common essences which interlock and continues from the begginning of times to this day. It is this fire which brings to life MayaK's pathways, having as only compass " The love of Art" and human interactions, which art, allows to have.
