Biography
François Lartigue has been a photographer for about 50 years. He started with a photograph of sailors by the basin des Tuileries that he took when he was 12 years old; this image is present in the collection of the Musée Nicéphore Niepce and it has been recently acquired at an auction house sale.
His career started precociously and has always been very discreet, in parallel with the intimidating career of his grandfather, photographer Jacques-Henri Lartigue. François Lartigue followed his own path and has been working as a photographer as well as a chief operator for great directors such as Marco Pico, Gérard Oury, Patrick Chesnais.
