Swiss artist Pius Sieber is a creator of colourful and sculpturesque semi-abstract landscapes, inspired by his extreme expeditions to distant lands.
The artist started his creative path as a photographer, but always wanted to create something more tangible and three dimensional.
His canvases look as models of the earth from the birds flight. One can easily recognise a desert, mountains or volcanos, although his painting technique is very meditative and free, typical for abstract style.
His creative process is very interesting, because he uses sand, soil and volcano ash that he brings from his journeys. Pius mixes it with colour pigments and after long and patient work his artworks are born. His artworks are tranquil, bringing a piece of a wonderful landscape to an art lover's home.
