Asli Önder is a Turkish painter born in 1975. She studied languages at Bilkent University in Ankara. After her graduation, she became an interpreter in French and English. She began painting in 2000 and worked with several artists in Istanbul. She lives and works in Izmir.
Her work is mainly figurative and she loves portraiture. According to the artist, thoughts and words have dynamic energy, substances and forms aren't empty, but in fact they're magnetic. Her women depictions usually exude feelings, poetry and emotions.
Asli Önder has done several exhibitions in Turkey and one in France. In 2015, she was selected for the International Biennial of Izmir.
