Presentation
From 2008 to 2020, Daniel Holfeld worked to refine his skills in fashion and advertising photography. Engaging in commissions, he has taken on various roles such as art direction, content creation, brand development, management and strategic planning. Daniel has successfully conceptualized and executed campaigns for high-profile luxury clients and international publications across the world.
Today, Holfeld focuses entirely on his artistic practice which revolves around the meticulous exploration and reinterpretation of architectural surfaces, presented as captivating painterly abstractions. Drawing inspiration from the clean, vivid aesthetic of modernist painting, he skillfully transforms these studies into compositions rich in color and geometric form.
His abstract portraits of the spaces he encounters are marked by deliberate ambiguity, inviting viewers to engage with the work on a personal level. Holfeld sees this ambiguity as a key element that stimulates the viewer's brain, encouraging them to actively participate in the "completion" of the work. This openness to interpretation results in a unique and individualized experience for each observer, with similarities in artistic expression discovered in distinctive ways.
Holfeld's artistic talent has been recognized and acclaimed, with awards from prestigious platforms such as the Prix de la Photographie Paris PX3, the International Photography Awards, the MonoVisions Black and White Photography Awards, the Budapest International Foto Awards and the Tokyo International Photography Awards, confirming the impact and excellence of his contributions to the world of visual art
