Description
The painting depicts a summer forest bathed in intense heat. The tree trunks are painted in bright red, evoking a scorching temperature that seems to permeate the entire scene.
Around them, a tangle of multi-colored foliage spreads out in abstract touches, mixing deep greens, bright yellows, oranges, blues... The leaves almost seem to melt under the heat, dissolving into more or less fluid brushstrokes that intertwine, creating a luxuriant animation.
At the bottom of the painting, a stream seems to flow, bringing a little freshness. Its water is rendered by touches of blue, dense or soft, meandering between the other colors. The water, despite its calm, seems to carry with it a discreet energy, an escape from the oppressive heat that emanates from the entire painting. The quasi-abstract style transforms this forest into a place both real and imaginary, where nature and emotion meet.
Presentation
Odile Pinto-Corbin is an award-winning artist based in France whose paintings have been exhibited nationally, as well as in Switzerland and Germany.
After a scientific career as a nuclear chemistry doctor, she turned to an artistic life. Her training led her to explore various workshops in the Netherlands, Switzerland, and then France, where she perfected her technique. She is now part of the Dictionary of Artists Registered. She has sold to the United States, Switzerland, Germany, Italy, Spain, and of course, France.
Her experience as a chemist gave her a unique perception of colors. Now, in her painting, she attempts bold associations, seeking to master the balance between contrast and harmony.
The artist seeks abstraction on a concrete base. And lets the viewer get lost in a labyrinth of free thought.
