Description
A red-orange armchair, a few scattered books, and a window open to a lush garden make up an intimate scene, suspended in time.
Odile Pinto Corbin transforms this familiar interior into a vibrant composition where color becomes a true pictorial language. The deep blue of the walls dialogues with the blazing oranges, the luminous yellow, and the intense greens of the foliage. Simplified forms and free perspective favor expression and emotion.
The abandoned books suggest an interrupted reading, while the empty armchair gives way to the imagination. Between interior and nature, this work celebrates the poetry of ordinary moments and invites everyone to invent the rest of the story.
Presentation
Odile Pinto-Corbin is an award-winning artist based in France whose paintings have been exhibited nationally, as well as in Switzerland and Germany.
After a scientific career as a nuclear chemistry doctor, she turned to an artistic life. Her training led her to explore various workshops in the Netherlands, Switzerland, and then France, where she perfected her technique. She is now part of the Dictionary of Artists Registered. She has sold to the United States, Switzerland, Germany, Italy, Spain, and of course, France.
Her experience as a chemist gave her a unique perception of colors. Now, in her painting, she attempts bold associations, seeking to master the balance between contrast and harmony.
The artist seeks abstraction on a concrete base. And lets the viewer get lost in a labyrinth of free thought.
