Description
This captivating artwork plunges the viewer into a whirlwind of dynamic colors and forms. Dominated by shades of red, orange, and yellow, the painting seems to vibrate with intense energy. Angular brushstrokes create a complex texture, evoking chaos and movement. A vertical stroke of luminous yellow traverses the center, guiding the eye through this fiery composition. The juxtaposition of dark and light hues creates striking depth, accentuating the tension between order and disorder. This work, through its boldness and contrasts, embodies a fierce vitality and raw passion, echoing the powerful emotions of artistic creation. It is a tribute to the strength and beauty of abstract expression, transforming space into a vibrant field of color and light.
Presentation
Alain Bécanne is a painter, born in Toulouse in 1957.
Alain got interested in painting only in his forties. Initially he was interested by figurative painting, and realized his first exhibitions quite quickly.
Finally in 2002, Alain changed gears and turned towards abstraction, a lyrical abstraction mainly inspired by great names of movement. This change has an influence on his manner of painting and technique.
Alain's work around abstraction quickly turned towards the question of light and its reflections. Whether the canvas is monochrome, black or white, the artist is always able to create light. He likes to work on shades, reflections that each color has to offer.
Light is an important part of Alain's paintings, he doesn't stick to only one way of processing but considers it to be an effect, a way to highlight his subject.
Material is a key aspect in Becanne's work, the painter likes to work with layers and thickness, each of his movements is visible, the paint on his canvas portrays image of his trace.
