Convergence of Tides – Contemporary Abstract Triptych (1), 2026

Convergence of Tides is a monumental contemporary abstract triptych from my Oceanic Geometry Collection, created in 2026. Composed of three large canvases, this original artwork explores the subtle dialogue between architecture, water, reflection, and open space through a refined language of geometry, texture, and light.

Rather than depicting a literal seascape, the triptych translates the rhythm of the ocean into structured abstract forms. Vertical lines, layered textures, and horizontal passages create a visual flow reminiscent of calm waterfront architecture reflected across still water. Each canvas has its own identity, yet together they form one continuous composition that invites the eye to travel naturally from one panel to the next.

Created through multiple layers of acrylic paint using palette knives, brushes, scraping techniques, and expressive gestural mark-making, the artwork reveals richly textured surfaces filled with depth and subtle movement. As natural light changes, the layered textures reveal new tonal relationships and visual nuances, giving the composition an ever-changing presence.

A sophisticated palette of ivory white, soft blue, warm beige, taupe, smoky grey, charcoal black, and deep brown creates a timeless contemporary atmosphere. The restrained colours evoke distant horizons, architectural reflections, coastal landscapes, and the quiet elegance of open water without describing a specific place.

Although entirely abstract, balances architectural precision with organic movement, inviting personal interpretation while conveying a strong sense of calm, openness, and spatial harmony.

Its panoramic scale makes this triptych ideal for luxury residences, contemporary villas, boutique hotels, executive offices, reception areas, galleries, and architectural interiors. The neutral palette integrates beautifully into Scandinavian, Japandi, minimalist, organic modern, coastal contemporary, and luxury interior design.

Part of my Oceanic Geometry Collection, this artwork reflects my fascination with the invisible structure of nature, where geometry, light, and water exist in perfect balance.
