A Girl at the Table with a Cat, 2015

Viktor Konotopsky

S1848

Oil painting A girl at the table with a cat Victor Konotopsky is a warm and intimate figurative composition that captures a quiet domestic moment filled with character and subtle emotion. A thoughtful young woman sits beside a large cat at a table set with a teapot, cups, sugar bowl, and decorative dishes, while the cool winter view beyond the window adds depth and atmosphere. Konotopsky demonstrates remarkable artistic mastery through confident drawing, expressive outlines, and a refined understanding of composition and color balance. Warm ochre, brown, peach, and terracotta tones of the figures and interior contrast beautifully with cool blue, violet, and gray shades in the background. The artist skillfully simplifies forms while preserving individuality, gesture, and psychological presence. Visible brushwork and textured paint give the scene vitality, while carefully arranged objects enrich the narrative and create a harmonious still-life element within the portrait. This original oil painting is ideal for collectors of figurative art, cat paintings, interior scenes, contemporary realism, expressive portraiture, and distinctive fine art.
