Description
S1866
Oil painting Setting the Festive Table Victor Konotopsky is a vivid figurative interior that captures the warmth, rhythm, and decorative richness of preparing a celebration. A woman arranges fruit and tableware beside elegant glass vessels, flowers, and patterned furnishings, while a garden view through the window adds freshness and depth to the scene. Konotopsky demonstrates exceptional artistic mastery through bold color contrasts, simplified forms, and a confident sense of composition. Intense red, blue, green, yellow, and orange tones are carefully balanced to create a decorative yet harmonious visual structure. The artist skillfully combines figurative painting with ornamental motifs, turning everyday domestic activity into a highly expressive and memorable image. Strong outlines, rhythmic floral patterns, and carefully placed still life elements guide the viewer across the composition and reinforce its festive mood. This original oil painting is an excellent choice for collectors of figurative art, interior scenes, still life painting, colorful modern art, decorative expressionism, contemporary painting, and distinctive fine art.
Presentation
Viktor Konotopsky was born in 1967 in the village of Maleshkovka, Nedrigailovsky district, Sumy region.
Graduated from the Kharkiv State Art School and the Faculty of Arts of the Saratov State Pedagogical University named after Makarenko.
Worked as a drawing and drafting teacher, and an artist in the advertising field.
In the 90s, he lived and worked in Poland (Krakow and Szczecin) and St. Petersburg.
Viktor had many temptations to catch some fashionable artistic disease, but he remained himself.
Judging his painting by the standards of world artistic fashion is as absurd as declaring love with the memorized words of a popular literary hero. In this sense, it is naive, but the naivety of a professionally educated person. His paintings are realistic, although stylized. The landscapes are easily recognizable, but they contain a generalization leading to an image.
