Description
Energy radiates through a chaotic, atmospheric painted composition. This artwork blends oil, acrylic, charcoal, and pastel into a dense layering of texture. Broad, sweeping strokes of white dominate the center, creating a sense of movement and light. Deep blues and muted greys anchor the periphery, evoking a stormy or nocturnal setting. Occasional flashes of vivid yellow and burnt orange pierce the cool palette, adding warmth and tension.
The technique suggests a search for meaning within disorder. The artist moves away from figurative representation toward a highly simplified, abstract design. This shift prioritizes raw emotion over literal form. Spontaneous marks collide with structured patches of color, reflecting a fascination with the mystical and the unseen. Every gesture feels intentional yet liberarating. The result is a visual exploration of the human condition, where beauty exists alongside imperfection. The composition remains open to interpretation, inviting the viewer to find their own narrative within the shifting layers of pigment. The final effect is a powerful balance of substance and ethereal mystery.
Presentation
Geert Lemmers, free and liberal artist, Fine Photo Art, Painting and New Media.
Geert Lemmers was born in the mysterious Land van Maas en Waal in the Netherlands. His grandmother's stories about witches and secret societies have formed him as an artist.
He studied photography and photographic arts and worked as a freelancer for years making reportages and portraits for magazines and fashion photographs. After the digital revolution he could realize his dream by making art, the way he saw it. In 2008 Geert Lemmers won the professional art-price in his region and that was the start of a successful artistic career.
After years of collaboration with well-known painters, his possibilities only grew.
Geert Lemmers is interested in our world and in its cultural and sexual diversity. He works mostly project-based and his work is about "the world of people" as a sort of general research.
"The world of people is about men and women behind often beautiful looking facades in the middle of the chaotic universe we live in. I research the raw site of our lives represented as fairytales in a wonderland as a enlargement of our life. Enlarged characters in chaos, beauty and imperfection. In every new project I vary on this basic-entity."
Geert's works, however, are characterized [now that he is getting older] by an increasing need for abstract and highly simplified design, allowing more room for emotion and the mystical.
Geert's works are honored many times and his works were to be seen in several international art - magazines.
