Description
The Space Between Stone and Sky (2026) is an original large neutral abstract painting created with acrylic on canvas.
I created this artwork inspired by the beauty of weathered stone, architectural forms, and reflections of light. I wanted to capture the feeling of a place that exists somewhere between reality and imagination, where strong geometric lines meet soft, atmospheric textures.
The composition combines pearl grey, silver grey, muted blue-grey, warm ivory, and taupe with chestnut brown, burnt umber, deep espresso, and charcoal black. These contrasting tones create depth, warmth, and a sense of quiet movement.
Using palette knives, brushes, and layered acrylic techniques, I developed expressive scraped surfaces, rich textures, and intersecting horizontal and vertical forms.
For me, this painting explores the relationship between strength and softness, permanence and change. Its sophisticated neutral palette and panoramic format make it an elegant focal point for contemporary and minimalist interiors.
Details: Original acrylic on canvas, 2026. 140 × 80 cm (55.1 × 31.5 in). Horizontal orientation. Unstretched canvas, shipped rolled. Signed on the front. Certificate of Authenticity included.
