Description
A winged silhouette rises lightly on a dark, minimalist pedestal. This sculpture explores the fragile balance between matter and void. Wood and aluminum assemble to create a geometric form inspired by the animal world.
The work relies on a search for architectural precision. The lines are sharp. The angles are cutting.
The artist draws inspiration from the arts of the circus and natural elements. He transforms a nocturnal being into a conceptual study on gravity. The visual tension arises from the contrast between the stable base and the aerial span.
The matte aspect of the surface emphasizes the rigor of the composition. The structure seems to defy time in a play of changing light. This piece combines a rigorous technical approach with a poetic vision of life. The object presents itself as an equilibrist frozen in space.
Presentation
A small world, perched high, hanging by a thread for a time...suspended. A game of chance between air and light, where movement and balance combine in poetic and changing evocations.
Also a painter, designer, and architecture enthusiast, Max-Léo draws his inspiration from his preferred worlds, such as circus arts, the city, living things and natural elements as so many pretexts for emotion and contemplation.
