Presentation

Trained at ENSAD in the graphic design section, Marie experimented with painting as a means of creative expression. The desire to paint quickly becomes obvious and responds to a personal need. The practice of modeling completes her artistic research.

Even if she retains a great sense of balance and compositions drawn from her experience as a graphic designer, her work generally responds to an instinctive approach: she lets herself be captured by an element that she strives to represent for convey an emotion.

Marie is driven by the propensity that a work has to make people dream, to revive a memory, to allow the viewer to imagine their own story.

Sometimes letting oneself be constrained by a certain rigor in the drawing, sometimes letting oneself go with the spontaneity of the gesture: these two states are complementary for Marie who needs one to reactivate the other.

Definitely refusing to be locked into a category, she likes to explore new pictorial paths or new supports.

His portraits entitled "Destinies" echo the big question that we all ask ourselves, parents: what will become of our children? And in the opposite direction, when we admire celebrities: how were these child personalities? They are made with a technique mixed with black pencil and acrylic paint.

His "Destined" works compare the portrait of children and the job of their dream or the portrait of adults when they were children and the job they exercise today!

In any case, a work that makes it possible to pay tribute to the courage, energy or convictions of celebrities and to those who encourage children to pursue a path they have chosen!
