Phil Quatre, whose various study paths taken and often skimmed over are imbued with an obvious graphic imprint, has been drawing since a very young age.

The practice of plastic arts and drawing are, for the time of an immersion in the world of musical production, put aside, Quatre takes up his pens again, with a little more conviction in 2018, on the occasion of the exhibition collective of “Carré Signé Au Dos”, in the Paris region.

Phil Quatre participates in a second part of the “Carré…” exhibition, in 2019 and in 2020, shares the poster of the 5th edition of the Colorama Festival in Biarritz, alongside artists such as Grems, Diffuz, Momies, Brusk, Jace, Jain…

Phil Quatre operates in the Basque country where he also resides, it is sometimes in duo with other artists that they offer, in the heart of the cities, combinations of their respective practices.

A multifaceted artist, Phil Quatre presents a variable and eventful artistic intention, things take on a slightly clearer meaning with each production and define the strange and dark material which constitutes one of the many parts of the artist. The graphic impulse is spontaneous, compact and dense, identifiable by the lively and tense abstraction, the plastic is an organic, sometimes stifling thing which attempts to reflect the complexity, in each thing, of being: its emotions, variations, its temporality, its paradoxes, its relationship to space, its lights and darkness.
