In the fascinating field of contemporary art, Hugues Bertin stands out for his singular approach and his artistic vision.
Aware of the ephemerality of these glass structures, the artist embarked on a preservation process. He recovers these windows steeped in history, giving them a second life by printing his photographs directly on them. These works, far from being simple clichés, become tangible testimonies of a bygone past.
To complete his compositions, he designed steel frames, which he intentionally allowed to corrode. This deliberate patina is not trivial: it aims to recreate the original atmosphere of the greenhouses, thus adding a temporal and textural dimension to his works.
Each of his works is a unique piece, through his works he not only sells images, but offers fragments of history, timeless pieces of art that invite reflection on the ephemeral beauty and transformation of the world that surrounds us.
