Biographie
Tyler Shields est un artiste, cinéaste et photographe contemporain américain, autrefois surnommé «le photographe préféré d'Hollywood» et nommé l'une des «100 meilleures choses du monde» par GQ. Né à Jacksonville, en Floride, et actuellement basé à Los Angeles, Shields est surtout connu pour ses photographies provocantes qui se rapportent aux thèmes du consumérisme, de la violence et de la fantaisie. Dans l'une de ses séries les plus emblématiques, il avait mis le feu à un sac Hermes Birkin en peau de crocodile de 100 000 $.
Le travail de Tyler découle d'une histoire de réalisation de vidéoclips et de travail avec l'icône légendaire du skateboard Tony Hawk. Ses images jouent avec les notions de regard, de structures de pouvoir, d'hyperréalisme et de cinématographie. Il a travaillé avec un certain nombre de célébrités hollywoodiennes, notamment Lindsay Lohan, Mischa Barton, Emma Roberts, Aaron Paul, Lydia Hearst, etc.
