
Biography
T'ang Haywen (曾海文) is an artist born in China, in Xiamen in Fujian province, in 1927, and died in 1991. He emigrated to France, where he pursued his artistic career. T'ang Haywen is considered an important figure in Abstract Expressionism and ink painting.
His work combines elements of Eastern tradition with modern Western influences. Characterized by deep colors and abstract shapes, his creations use ink and watercolor to express a unique and introspective reflection, demonstrating his deep understanding of life, nature and culture. He gained international recognition as a prominent exponent of Asian art in the late 20th century.
