Biografie
Sophie Griotto wurde 1975 in Alès geboren. Sie studierte angewandte Kunst in Nîmes und dann in Toulouse, bevor sie nach Paris zog, wo sie für eine große Werbeagentur arbeitete. 1988 begann sie als Storyboarderin freiberuflich zu arbeiten, was sie dazu veranlasste, Filme für renommierte Häuser wie Dior oder Jean-Paul Gaultier zu drehen. Sie beschloss 2003, sich der Illustration zuzuwenden. Ihre Illustrationen sind sowohl von der Modewelt als auch von der der Medien, der Welt der Kindheit und der Poesie inspiriert. Die Frau ist ein zentrales Element ihrer Kreationen, sie ist dort in all ihrer Moderne vertreten. Sophie Griotto verwendet viel Stoff, wodurch Farben und Muster hervorstechen. Im Jahr 2014 wurde Sophie Griotto mit der Dekoration eines Pariser Hotels in der Rue de la Paix beauftragt. Der Illustrator erscheint im Kunstbuch "100 Illustratoren" sowie in "Illustration now, Fashion" von Taschen Editionen.
