Alexei Lantsev - Artist’s view and traveling
Compiègne From July 11, 2022 to September 11, 2022
Hulls of boats, facades of houses, cars, so many forms that can translate the strength of a broad touch coming to locate with energy and lightness elements, places of life. A feeling of joy and serenity emerges from his work, the artist seeks a relationship of simplicity and proximity with what he represents. Alexei Lantsev expresses a painting that participates in the moment, in the heart of the matter. This subject gives him a tremendous range of forms that become an iconography of happiness under the artist's hand.
The encounters also punctuate the course of his travels and represent for the artist a new opportunity to instill strong energy. Through the realization of lively portraits, Alexei Lantsev transcribes a colorful relationship with the other and suggests a great familiarity with the world.
His painting opens up spaces, pushes back geographical boundaries and allows us to return to an infinitely simpler relationship with reality. The world becomes close, palpable and seems to belong to us.
Alexei Lantsev was born in 1970 in the city of Krasnodar (Russia), graduated from the Moscow Institute of Fine Arts "Surikov". He has had over 20 solo exhibitions in Russia, France, Germany, UK, Switzerland and Hong Kong. His works are featured in private and public collections around the world.
