Biography
Born in the seaside town of Le Havre in Normandy, Isabelle Levistre has always been passionate about photography. She lives and works in Paris.
She decided to dedicate herself fully to her passion in 2006, attending various courses, she trained her eye and learned different traditional printing techniques. Three years later she introduced her first series, Anamnèse, a series of works strongly inspired by her family universe. This first series was entirely printed traditionally from film by Isabelle.
Through photography, Isabelle Levistre explores her inner self and shares her vision to others. She is constantly searching for honesty and sincerity. Expressing her feelings through her personal experiences. Her universe is often full of poetry and dreams.
Overprint allows her to explore the frontier between dream and reality. She exhibited Anamnèse for the first time in 2009 at Bièvre International Photo Fair where she was awarded a first prize Grand Auteur.
