Biography
Born in 1967, Sandrine Paumelle studied at the Ecole Nationale Supérieure des Beaux-Arts of Paris. She uses mix technic on argentic photographs, playing with twilight, between bright light and shadows. Looking at a Sandrine Paumelle’s painting is like looking out of the window, early in the morning, in winter, when the glass is still freezing.
Time stops, silent is everywhere. Few colors appear with the dawn. Landscapes made of wild herbs, grass, trunks under the wind, all these little things which then become "main character" of the subject, full of the mystery of the strange light. She is exhibited in France, Belgium and the UK.
