Corinne Landais-Bardon got trained in Philippe Pengreph's visual art classes for eight years in Cesson-Sévigné, during which she was particularly interested by clay.
Discovering the Raku technique was like a revelation for Corinne. Due to this and the metal supports, she highlights cracks which are a result of firing and the curves of her sculptures. The peculiarity of the Raku firing is to expose the creation to a thermal shock in order to achieve cracks. Therefore, a big part of her creation is a result of chance, and Corinne loves this aspect.
A perfectionist, the artist doesn't hesitate to do internships with firing technique professionals, like Martine Abgrall, in order to improve her work.
