Stéphanie Daverdon

French, born in Germany in 1975, graduated in Science of Art and Aesthetic Philosophy (Paris.1 Panthéon-Sorbonne), Stéphanie Daverdon now lives in France in a village in the heart of the vineyards on the banks of the Marne.

After a traveling childhood and adolescence, linked to the father's profession, young married, she settled in Paris for about twenty years. Since 2012, she has been living in the provinces where she finds the tranquility of the countryside with her family.

Art has always had an intimate resonance in her and painting was obvious. His work is exhibited in unusual places (a champagne cellar of the LVMH group, a mill, a church or tourist offices); or more traditional, such as the “Live Gallery * - Paris 2 ème” Art Gallery, Associative Art Gallery, Contemporary Art festivals, the Montparnasse art market; decoration shops and various salons ...

She has won several awards, notably at the International "Awakening of Young Artists" competition in 1995. She received the 1st prize for painting, which allowed her canvas to travel around the world, the 1st prize of Natixis "Au detour de l'art" competition in 2007, the general council of Seine et Marne prize for the public in 2012 ...

She draws her inspiration from the brief moments of light captured during her travels around the world. His artistic influences turn mainly to Abstract Expressionism and Impressionism with a particular affection for the work of Joan Mitchell and Claude Monet.

Her painting expresses and reveals what she shares with the outside world and what emerges from within, what flows from the past and what belongs to the moment. It creates a symbiosis with the natural elements in order to perceive the energy that nature gives off. It is also inspired by its strength and fragility.

Her technique will evolve throughout her years, in order to transcribe through her plastic work what she deeply believes in: Art as a realization of the Self.
