Christine Beloeuvre

Born in Paris. His studio is located in Paris.

After studying Psychology and Philosophy and then Advertising, Christine Beloeuvre works for 30 years in advertising both in France and in Africa and Asia.

She discovered acrylic paint on paper in 2016, quickly converted to wood. She creates a concept of Wood, acrylic with textures and collages of objects she calls « Tabula ». Then she goes to the canvas on chassis.

Christine Beloeuvre begins with an idea to represent everyday objects through collages in the midst of very colourful imaginary landscapes. To divert everyday objects from their original functionality, to recognize them a power of symbolism, to put them in an incongruous situation allows it to tell a story, to manifest its distance on the ironic features of our societies, describing an emotional state while bringing the dream. 

Its purpose is never to stray from an aesthetic or even poetic dimension, the contrast between the realism of the object and its imaginary setting, always very colorful, captivates it.
