Valerie Walsh

Valerie was born in Douglas Cork and has been painting since the age of seven. She went on as an adult to study art at the Crawford Art College, Cork and the NCAD (National College of Art & Design) in Dublin. She was awarded a silver medal for the portraiture during her time at the college. She later qualified as an Art teacher and thought art to many budding young artists in Mount Mercy College, Cork over the years.

Valerie has exhibited in several one man exhibitions as well as many group exhibitions. (Eg Hotel Europe, Killarney; The Private Collector, Innishannon; The Bad Art Gallery, Dublin; The K Gallery, Cork and the Lavitt Gallery, Cork). Today her work takes pride of place in many private collections around the globe.

Two years ago Valerie gave up her teaching to pursue her passion for Art. She now has her own gallery in Douglas in cork. Her new collection can now be viewed at her private gallery which is now open to visitors by appointment with no gallery fees.
