Massimiliano Mocchia di Coggiola

Born in Turin (Italy) in 1984, he studied art history before settling in Paris, where he has lived since 2007. Writer and designer, he participates as a freelancer and illustrator in several art and fashion magazines and books, his favourite topic. Historian of men's fashion and dandyism, his art reflects these passions combined with a spirit of “roaring twenties" away from contemporary minimalist artistic trends. His portraits speak of a vintage and eccentric counter-culture, where eroticism and elegance seem to want to awaken the decadent esthete side that dozes in the observer.

He founded the brand “Fratelli Mocchia di Coggiola" with his brother Francesc - his designs are printed on scarves and shirts. As much as artistic director and scenographer, he has collaborated for a long time with the musical group La Femme.
