Biography
A graduate of the Tokyo School of Fine Arts Sculpture, Saegusa Sotaro has won many prestigious awards and is considered one of the best metal artists in Japan.
Among other things, she has created series of miniature cast-iron animals remarkable for their stylization which recalls both art deco and contemporary art.
She died in 2006.
