Hassan Wasiu Sunday

Hassan Wasiu Sunday was born in Ibadan, Oyo State, Nigeria. He is a visual artist with a rich educational background growing up in Ibadan. He obtained his primary education in Eruwa and completed his secondary education at Baptist Model High School, Sango, Eruwa. His artist journey continued with a National Diploma from Adeseun Ogundoyin Polytechnic, achieving an upper credit. He is currently at the Polytechnic, Ibadan for his higher national diploma in painting technology.

During his industrial training, Hassan honed his skills at Oluwole Omofemi Art Studio and Center for African Arts and Design Gallery owned by Doctor Ellis Oyekola in Ibadan.

His first art residency was under Centre for African Art and Design Gallery, Ibadan and his second art residency program was under TR Residency Program in Lekki Lagos, Nigeria and also participated in Ibadan Art Fair Exhibition marking the beging of a promising career. His initial art training took place at Heritage Creations in Eruwa, under the mentorship of Mr. Godwin Segun Adesope.
