Biography
Born in 1939 in Poland, Ryszard Horowitz graduated from the School of Fine Arts in Krakow before emigrating to New York and graduating from the Pratt Institute in New York in 1962. After graduating, he began worked in graphic and television design companies, then in 1967, he decided to open his own photographic studio in New York. Ryszard Horowitz asserts his unique style combining the absurd, the surrealist, the symbolic by creating complex photographic composites, made through a multitude of photographic techniques such as the use of the darkroom, the multiplication of films or manipulations of his camera.
