Biography
"...Daido Moriyama said 'the city has it all: comedy, tragedy, panegyric, eroticism, it's the ideal place where people's desires intertwine.' And I chase the cities, the people, all the emotions and nostalgia from the streets.
I hunt for textures, lights and shadows, often discarding the search for technical sharpness, allowing grainy, blurry and high contrast images to express torment, sadness, loneliness, adding rawness and energy to the 'ordinary.
The city is my canvas and it will always be my natural element where my photographs can breathe, where all the demons can play together in a hypnotic and seductive dance.
I don't work on long-term projects, I take unique photos and have always seen them as an "exorcism" for my fears and personal hell. Acting on instinct, never trying to think, I don't intend to tell a story. If viewers see something, maybe this story is in their hearts..."
