Clara Duch

My work focuses on imaginary buildings, streets and houses that I photograph. I usually use dark backgrounds with bright colours to generate chromatic contrasts, although sometimes I invert the formula with a reduced palette on a white background. I paint scenes that evoke silence, reflection, solitude and introspection, exploring human presence or absence. I seek to transport the observer to my emotions and, at the same time, allow them to connect with their own. Each interpretation enriches the dialogue between the work and the person who contemplates it.
