Original watercolor painted on fine-grained, thick (300 g) cotton (100%) white paper.
The painting is dated and signed on the back and embossed on the front, with my visual, to certify its authenticity.
This masterpiece, a contemporary watercolor, seduces with its dreamlike style and bold composition. In the center, a slender, almost ethereal figure stands. The body, extended into a thin column of red lines, immediately catches the eye and creates an imposing verticality. The head, adorned with a vaporous headdress mixed with dark and mysterious shades, evokes a mane of swirling clouds, subtly transforming into delicate branches. The figure's rosy cheeks add a touch of innocence and sweetness, contrasting with the complexity of the hairstyle. The minimalist expression of the face generates an introspective and dreamy atmosphere, inviting interpretation. At the bottom of the work, three stylized birds, in rich colors of purple, black and red, bring a narrative dimension. Their elegant and graphic shapes are enhanced with floral motifs and bring a delicate texture to the scene. The background, sober and delicately tinted, accentuates the prominence of the main characters, while the shadow cast by the birds creates a subtle depth and adds a remarkable visual dynamic. This harmonious ensemble awakens the senses and the imagination, illustrating a silent dialogue between the central character and the exuberant birds, perhaps symbolizing the coexistence between man and nature or a rich and complex inner world. Presentation
She hails from Evian, in the Haute-Savoie region of France.
She began painting as a child, and this passion has never really left her.
As a young adult, she attended the Chambéry municipal art school while studying history and geography.
It was in adulthood that she came into contact with watercolours and the chance magic of water.
With watercolor, no two paintings are ever the same.
She loves working with its acidulous colors, sometimes even textured or glittery, and combining it with other mediums such as black pen or gouache.
She is particularly fond of surrealist paintings and nature. One of her favorite themes is illustrating women's thoughts in different contexts!
