Imbued with a strong graphic culture, and endowed with a sense of perfectionism bordering on the compulsive, F&G compose their works of illustrations and cult logos symbolic of the genesis of an omnipresent and invasive consumerism.
Known to purists for their shared passion for comics, F&G distill a unique artistic DNA transcended by the fusion of genres and the treatment of materials.
According to them, pop art is above all a question of audacity coupled with a desire to reinvent the arty codes dear to Andy Warhol.
Plexiglas, aluminium and neon structure the paintings as much as the sculptures and become the main materials of their creations... Hand drawings, tattoos and montages, all under the influence of an overflowing imagination come to pay homage in a subtle or committed way to the icons of the Contemporary Art in general.
Basquiat, Jim Morrison, John Lennon, Mickey or Whitney Houston are drawn by the duo while Mona Lisa and Betty Boop share the spotlight with Coca-Cola, Ketchup or Absolut Vodka bottles revisited with humor and love (of art)!
