Kamilka holds a Bachelors in Architecture from University of Moratuwa in 2009. In her paintings, she endeavors to convey the essence of varied inspirations she draws from sights and sounds of Srilanka, weaving into her abstracts a sense of individuality that is essentially hers.
Not confined to one medium, she explores varied textures as she goes, true to the self-taught artist that she is. From Landscapes to Line Drawings her work revolves free flowing strokes taking the realistic imagery, which the inspiration stems from, and transforming it to an abstract whole.
Born in Colombo Srilanka, and a practicing Architect by Profession, Kamilka's artistry is part and parcel of her being, from the Architect to the Artist, both sides merging and helping each other, uniquely called to create “The Painting Architect".
