Always nicknamed Calou, it was during a trip to Burkina Faso that what would become my nickname “Caloulabissa" appeared for the first time; The Bissa people live in West Africa. A Burkinabé friend named me that because certain traits of my character made him think of this people of farmers: “Calou la Bissa". Since then, I have adopted this name, it has become my signature.
I have always practiced painting in parallel with my main activity which, for more than 20 years, has been to support people with disabilities as an educator, artistic mediator and art therapist. Today, I devote a little less time to this activity to devote more time to painting.
