Xie Wenjin, born in 1980 in Anhui Province, China, is a doctor of Shanghai Academy of Fine Arts, a member of the Chinese Artists Association, a member of the Shanghai Artists Association, an associate professor and postgraduate tutor at Shanghai University of Applied Sciences. His works have participated in the 14th National Fine Arts Exhibition (Works in Beijing), the 13th National Fine Arts Exhibition, the 2022 Jinling Oil Painting Exhibition, the 9th National Youth Oil Painting Exhibition, the 1st National Oil Painting Exhibition, and the Portrait Era Oil Painting Exhibition, etc. He won the Collectible Works Award at the 2022 China Hundred Jinling Oil Painting Exhibition, the Magnolia Award at the 11th Shanghai Fine Arts Exhibition, the Bronze Award at “Classics and Inheritance-Chinese Young People's New Realistic Painting Exhibition", the Bronze Award at “The Third Chinese Oil Painting Exhibition", and the Bronze Award at “The Third Chinese Oil Painting Exhibition". He was awarded the Excellent Prize at the “Third Chinese Oil Painting and New Talent Discovery Exhibition"; he has received grants from the National Art Fund and the Shanghai Cultural Development Fund; his works have been collected by the China Art Palace (Shanghai Art Museum), Jiangsu Art Museum, Art Museum of the Chinese Academy of Oil Painting of the Chinese Academy of Art, and Shanghai Longhua Martyrs' Memorial Museum, among other organizations and individuals.
