Rey obra de Zeta Yeyati a coronation of the unseen made visible

brings together majesty and vulnerability in a male portrait filled with symbolism. Created using mixed media on paper, measuring 63x100 cm, this piece combines acrylic, stencil, collage and assemblage to shape a figure that evokes an imaginary contemporary king. Not a ruler in the traditional sense, but a man who wears the crown of memory, introspection and forgotten urban traces. His face, outlined with basic lines, holds an intense gaze that serves as a hallmark of Yeyati's visual world. Gesture and balance coexist within the composition. The character is formed through bold brushstrokes, layered textures and color stains that deepen the visual space. The color palette—blue, brown, red and white—builds a quiet power that surrounds the figure. As always in his work, Yeyati relies on recycling as an ethical and aesthetic decision. is not just a man, but a material transformation, turning waste into meaning and residue into emotion. It is a visual tale of a kingdom made from fragments.

Zeta Yeyati, born in Burzaco in 1965, is an Argentine visual artist who turns the discarded into poetic forms. Known also as a musician, his creative roots began with drawing and working with wood during childhood. His artistic drive is grounded in observing and rescuing what others abandon. This act becomes a visual language shaped by sensitivity and intention, standing firmly against a culture of disposability.

captures the essence of the artist's free, intuitive process. Trained outside formal institutions, Yeyati's style emerges from exploration and repurposing. He assembles collage, stencil and found objects into works that breathe memory and meaning. In this painting, the male figure asserts presence not through grandeur, but through depth and emotion. The surface effects, textural layers and subtle assemblages give the piece a poetic resonance. The character is not a ruler, but a human crowned by experience. speaks quietly, yet powerfully.

In , Yeyati invites us to see royalty in the overlooked. His art celebrates simplicity, balance and the beauty of recovery. This king is not an icon of control, but of presence. Through refined layering, vintage charm and poetic gesture, Yeyati redefines the idea of nobility. becomes a visual ode to dignity, resilience and creative transformation.

Presentation

Zeta Yeyati (Burzaco, 1965) is a visual artist who has transformed recycling into a poetic language and forgotten matter into an act of aesthetic redemption. While the public has come to know him as a musician in projects like Los Intocables, La Mississippi, or Babel Orkesta, his true creative roots lie in the visual arts. Visual expression was his first terrain. Before the chords came drawing. Before the stages came interlocked tree trunks.

A restless and sensitive autodidact, Yeyati attended workshops with figures such as Antonio Pujía, León Ferrari, and Diana Aisemberg, yet his work doesn't follow any formal school. He moves freely between ceramics, collage, stencil, and assemblage. His aesthetic is nourished by what others discard: street posters, scraps of iron, furniture legs, bronzes, and aged wood. A dumpster was his first museum. Then came flea markets, where he continues to collect remnants for his unique pieces.

In his works, dogs, birds, musicians, queens, horses, and magicians coexist, as if each figure emerged from a story older than the object itself. His repertoire is populated by characters that rise from the collage with the force of a lucid dream. He does not seek to imitate reality but to reincarnate fragments of it. As curator Rodrigo Alonso described, his art is a “vital philosophy" — a gesture that defies consumerism and embraces the possibility of reviving the forgotten.

Color —present with striking intensity in his recent work— arrived through an internal shift: his encounter with Milo Lockett, which not only redefined his palette but also his way of sharing his universe. Since then, Yeyati's work pulses with a more playful energy, without losing its symbolic depth.

Yeyati does not merely create images —he builds an emotional archaeology from the remnants of everyday life. Each work is a story made of time, memory, and waste; a rescue act that restores humanity to matter. From that gesture —profoundly plastic and profoundly human— his art speaks to those willing to look beyond the surface.
