Description
This artwork presents a mesmerizing blend of colors and organic shapes arranged in an imperfect circle, set against a stark black background that accentuates its vibrant hues. The composition captivates with its dynamic interplay of purples, yellows, blues, and whites, each hue seamlessly flowing into the next, creating a sense of movement and harmony. The translucent quality of the forms gives an impression of depth, as if the colors are floating above the canvas. The irregular shapes resemble petals or geological formations, inviting viewers to explore their intricate textures and subtle gradients. This piece stands out for its ability to evoke natural beauty while maintaining a strikingly modern aesthetic. The deliberate use of negative space enhances the vibrancy of the colors, offering a bold visual contrast that highlights the unique fluidity and complexity of each hue.
Presentation
Ariadna Dane is a Russian-British artist living and working in London, UK. Through her upbringing in Siberia and travelling, she had discovered a connection to nature which became a source of inspiration for her evolving art practice.
In her work, Ariadna grew fascinated by the newer, less common contemporary mixed media materials, such as alcohol based ink, and is currently exploring how they can be used in the unique and unexpected ways. The artists's pieces have a sophisticated natural appearance, reminiscent of basic life forms, organic cells and celestial structures.
Created in isolation during the lockdown, Ariadna's new work will be exhibited in Fulham Town Hall. The group exhibition “Art in the Age of Now" will bring together contemporary art, live music, talks and performance art.
