Description
This artwork features a vivid circular assemblage of organic, abstract forms against a deep, solid blue background. The piece is notable for its dynamic interplay of colors - ranging from rich oranges and earthy browns to vibrant blues and subtle, muted reds. Each hue seems to bleed into the next, suggesting a sense of fluidity and motion. The forms resemble fragmented pieces, like petals or leaves, intricately arranged to create a harmonious yet irregular shape. The dark blue backdrop provides a striking contrast, making the colors pop and adding depth. The shadow effect underneath the circular formation adds an illusion of elevation, giving the artwork a three-dimensional quality. This composition invites the viewer to explore the balance between structure and spontaneity, creating an evocative and immersive visual experience.
Presentation
Ariadna Dane is a Russian-British artist living and working in London, UK. Through her upbringing in Siberia and travelling, she had discovered a connection to nature which became a source of inspiration for her evolving art practice.
In her work, Ariadna grew fascinated by the newer, less common contemporary mixed media materials, such as alcohol based ink, and is currently exploring how they can be used in the unique and unexpected ways. The artists's pieces have a sophisticated natural appearance, reminiscent of basic life forms, organic cells and celestial structures.
Created in isolation during the lockdown, Ariadna's new work will be exhibited in Fulham Town Hall. The group exhibition “Art in the Age of Now" will bring together contemporary art, live music, talks and performance art.
