Description

Oil painting Purple Flowers in a Pot Victor Konotopsky is a vibrant floral still life that celebrates the beauty of blooming flowers through expressive color and confident painterly technique. A lush bouquet of rich purple blossoms fills the center of the composition, complemented by delicate white flowers and fresh green leaves that create contrast and visual balance. Konotopsky demonstrates impressive artistic mastery through energetic brushwork, subtle tonal variation, and a refined understanding of color harmony. Violet, magenta, lavender, green, cream, and soft gray tones interact beautifully, giving the arrangement depth, freshness, and atmosphere. The artist skillfully combines recognizable botanical forms with loose impressionistic handling, allowing the flowers to feel both natural and emotionally expressive. The softly suggested background enhances the bouquet without distracting from its vivid presence. This original oil painting is an excellent choice for collectors of floral still life, purple flower art, impressionist painting, botanical decor, colorful interiors, and distinctive fine art.
Presentation
Viktor Konotopsky was born in 1967 in the village of Maleshkovka, Nedrigailovsky district, Sumy region.
Graduated from the Kharkiv State Art School and the Faculty of Arts of the Saratov State Pedagogical University named after Makarenko.
Worked as a drawing and drafting teacher, and an artist in the advertising field.
In the 90s, he lived and worked in Poland (Krakow and Szczecin) and St. Petersburg.
Viktor had many temptations to catch some fashionable artistic disease, but he remained himself.
Judging his painting by the standards of world artistic fashion is as absurd as declaring love with the memorized words of a popular literary hero. In this sense, it is naive, but the naivety of a professionally educated person. His paintings are realistic, although stylized. The landscapes are easily recognizable, but they contain a generalization leading to an image.
