Horse and Stallion in a Field, 2015

Viktor Konotopsky

S1852

Oil painting Horse and Stallion in a Field Victor Konotopsky is a warm rural composition that captures the quiet beauty of horses grazing in an open landscape. A strong brown horse dominates the foreground, accompanied by a smaller light-colored companion, while broad fields and distant hills create a calm sense of space and freedom. Konotopsky demonstrates impressive artistic mastery through confident brushwork, clear structural drawing, and a refined understanding of animal form. Rich brown, olive green, ochre, cream, and muted blue tones are skillfully balanced to create a natural and harmonious palette. The artist carefully models the horses with expressive strokes that suggest muscle, posture, and movement without losing painterly spontaneity. Subtle variations in the grass and distant terrain add depth and atmosphere, while the simplified composition keeps attention on the animals. This original oil painting is ideal for collectors of horse art, equestrian painting, rural landscapes, animal portraits, countryside decor, and distinctive contemporary fine art.
