The work is made at the junction of semi-abstract expressionism and structuralism. The author uses a mixed technique, where pictorial spots with acrylic are combined with an active graphic linear drawing with a marker.
A conventional street plot unfolds in the picture. The silhouettes present are devoid of detailed facial features and are perceived as generalized "ghosts of the city" or time travelers who have organically grown into the surrounding landscape. The deconstructed architecture with the contours of windows, arches and roofs is reminiscent of ancient adobe houses, a medieval castle or an oriental city.
The basis of the palette is warm earthy and ocher shades - from sand and terracotta to deep brown. This warm array contrasts with accents of sky-blue and blue colors in the upper and lower parts of the canvas. Such a color scheme creates the effect of patina, antiquity and fills the space with sunlight.
The main form-forming element here is a black contour line. It was applied over colored spots, sometimes outlining specific silhouettes (people, windows, walls), and sometimes breaking away from them and turning into an independent abstract ornament that pulsates across the entire plane of the work.
The work is a visualization of a memory, a dream, or a mirage, where real objects of the material world dissolve in an abstract play of color and lines.
